Hali Simon is a public relations veteran with 30+ years experience in the entertainment industry. She formed HALI PUBLIC RELATIONS, LLC, specializing in television and entertainment clients, in 2001 and has represented such clients as USA Network, the Hallmark Channel, SCI FI Channel, Lifetime Television, PBS documentary filmmakers Two Cats Productions and Santa Fe Productions, popular cable networks E! Entertainment Television and WE: Women’s Entertainment, Los Angeles production companies Digital Ranch, Stone Stanley and Hallock/Healey Entertainment, among others.
Since 2009 Simon has worked with National Wildlife Federation to develop the NWF’s “Naturalist David Mizejewski” media personality brand and that work has brought hundreds of millions of media impressions to NWF to promote their conservation work on such outlets as the Today Show, NatGeo WILD, the Martha Stewart Show, Ellen, Conan, Wendy Williams, Rachael Ray, CNN, Weather Channel, Sundance Channel, NPR, History Channel, HGTV, SiriusXM, Good Morning America, Hallmark Channel, Access Hollywood, Inside Edition, TMZ, morning shows on local network affiliates across the country (NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox), the New York Times, USA Today, PBS and many, many more.
Prior to the formation of HALI PUBLIC RELATIONS, Simon was the Vice President of Communications at Broadway Television Network where she successfully launched the pay-per-view premiere presentation of Smokey Joe’s Cafe: The Songs of Leiber and Stoller. Before that, Simon was Director, Corporate Communications at Flooz.com, where she devised the public relations strategy for the creator of the world’s first online gift currency.
Simon spent four years at USA Network, lastly as the Director of Media Relations & Corporate Communications. While there, she was responsible for creating and implementing publicity campaign strategies for USA Network’s original programming and headed up publicity campaigns for numerous USA Pictures Originals and several USA Original Series, including one of the network’s most popular, La Femme Nikita.
Previously, Simon served as Senior Account Supervisor for Entertainment and Corporate Communications at The Lippin Group, responsible for publicity on such television series as Homicide: Life on the Street (NBC), New York Undercover (FOX), Law and Order (NBC), and Later…With Bob Costas (NBC). Prior to that, she was the East Coast Press Representative in the Entertainment Division of the CBS Television Network, and began her career at the New York City firm of Schecter/Cone/McCallister.
A past Ambassador Family for the March of Dimes, Simon served on the organization’s Communications Network and received the 2002 Triangle Award for Excellence in Communications.
Born in Coram, New York, Simon graduated from Long Island University, C.W. Post College with a B.F.A. in Public Relations. After raising her children, Melissa and Spencer in Wayne, NJ, she and her husband Marc relocated the family (included three rescue dogs), to Pawleys Island, South Carolina. Since moving down South the family has become active with SOS Care, the organization behind the independent living community Melissa plans to live in one day, as well as the Autism News Network where she hopes to one day be employed. In addition, Spencer started college at University of South Carolina. Go Gamecocks!!
